In the near future, we will likely see large changes in the way we communicate with people in the workplace.

Google's Duet AI can help with taking meeting notes, recording small videos snippets, and provide summaries. It can also help with those who are not in the meeting by giving them updates as the meeting progresses, as well as summarize what they may have missed if they show up late.

In the near future, AI might be able to allow people to join meetings virtually without even showing up, then review what they need to later when they're free. Or join the meeting in different virtual ways. Or people who may need to join a meeting that is outside of the team, to listen in, but can't find the time to make it or review an entire meeting. It's likely to cause some tension with those who might abuse this and skip meetings entirely, so it would still be wise to let people know why they still need to show up to meetings.
