AI Assistants

One of the most influential inventions of our time, will be AI assistants. They will fundamentally change our communications, behaviors, operations, and more. See our section on Evolve Society to learn more about how it will each of those things.

Here is a brief list of many of the things AI Assistants will be able to help with:

• Planning your day, tasks, events, etc.
• Schedule your appointments, events, etc.
• Communicate with your friends and family for you or with you (think verbal text messaging in a way)
• Research, put together information and data
• Solve problems
• Train you on nearly anything
• Communication like translation, conflict resolution, improving your communication skills, etc.

In the near future, likely within the next year or two, we will very likely have full AI assistants that can be installed on cell phones and other devices without the need for an internet connection.

There is also a lot of value in translating and preserving rare or ancient languages. There may be less people to translate the languages due to many factors, and AI might be the answer for preservation. Or for languages that still exist and there's a need to translate with those people.

What will the future look like for AI assistants? We think the best example is from the movie “Her.” The AI assistant in the movie portrays a lot of ideas of what an assistant can be like.

A company is already working on something similar, where the user wears a pin on their clothes that includes a camera, microphone, and speaker that can interact with the world around you. Check it out in action here.
